FAQ
Is Peak Physio right for me?
Definitely! Whether you’re injured or healthy, young or old, amateur or pro, Peak Physio has you covered. The list of conditions we treat and goals we can reach is far too long to list, but having helped countless individuals return to all levels of activity including Olympic competition, we are confident we can help you. If you’d benefit from the aid of another professional (physician, dietician, podiatrist, etc.), we are also happy to point you in the right direction. If you have specific questions or concerns before getting started, reach out to set up a free consultation call and we’ll get you sorted.
What makes you different?
First and foremost, we are HONEST. This should not be a stand out feature, but unfortunately in the current health and fitness landscape, it really is. We provide accurate, research backed information and interventions without the snake oil and up-selling that occur throughout both industries. We utilize state of the art equipment and offer both indoor and outdoor fitness spaces including Kezar Track & Field. With 10 years of experience and over 20k sessions, we have personally seen every type of orthopedic surgery and helped all body types and ages recover and excel. Not only that, but we’ve built a great community and had a lot of fun along the way!
What can I expect?
All sessions are one full hour of 1-on-1 attention, no aides or interns. See the “Services” page for details on what to expect from individual sessions. Keep in mind we can take your health and fitness as far as YOU want to go. We never let anyone walk away without an understanding and plan for how to best manage their health long into the future.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, the state of California allows for direct access to Physical Therapy without the need of a referral for up to 12 visits or 45 days. After that, your primary care physician can provide a script for continued treatment. Wellness and private training outside the scope of Physical Therapy do not require a referral.
Do you take insurance?
No, we are a cash-based practice though we do offer “Super Bills” for Out-of-Network insurance reimbursement. For context, I’ve spent years working in an insurance based model and have made the decision to move away from it due to the growing limitations it places on patient recovery and overall ability to reach optimum long-term health. This conversation is best had during a consultation call as there are several nuances that demonstrate how our model is more time efficient and LESS costly in the long run. If this is your primary area of concern, please reach out and we can discuss further. I promise to be transparent and to help you find your best fit.
Do you take FSA/HSA?
YES!
Do you offer packages?
Yes. Once we develop a plan we will discuss your estimated timeline and help you choose a package that best fits your needs.
How do I book?
